GENERAL INFORMATION

Construction

The standard PRO PUNT® is an all welded construction, using hollow three chambered high tensile marine grade aluminium extrusion.

NO bolts or rivets are used at all, and the innate strength of the material means there is no need for internal or external framing.

This method of construction provides:

  • high strength and rigidity
  • inbuilt buoyancy (all hulls are pressure tested)
  • double skin protection from hull penetration
  • smooth and efficient water contact surface area
  • economical operation
  • durability
  • low maintenance hulls
  • capability of carrying extremely high payloads
  • unencumbered work space

Application

Due to their rugged construction and high performance, PRO PUNT® have many applications where a no-frills marine workhorse is required. The versatility of the basic design is demonstrated by the variety of uses to which these vessels have been put. These include:

  • livestock transport
  • fishing / aquaculture
  • diving tender
  • landing barge
  • garbage barge / crane barge
  • flood/rescue
  • research
  • maintenance
  • mining/exploration
  • fuel transport
  • tourism
  • glass bottom boat
  • general cargo transport
  • family / pleasure craft

Power Source

Standard PRO PUNT® are fitted with transom outboard motor mountings - to suit long shaft. Provision can be made for the installation of alternative power sources, and these can be supplied & fitted if required.

Performance

Shallow draught, exceptionally high payload capacity and relatively low power requirements with resulting economy of operation are features, which added to its rigidity and stability, give the PRO PUNT® the performance demanded by commercial operators, and recreational boaters.

Optional Extras

There is almost no limit to the list of optional fittings and modifications which may be incorporated into these vessels to suit individual requirements. Examples of the most popular options include:

  • ‘pod’ compartment at the stern constructed onto the transom to take the outboard motor (single/dual) and house the fuel tanks to give total work space in the boat, and to eliminate the risk of fuel contamination of cargo
  • bow shelf / locker under foredeck
  • seating - side or cross mounted
  • steering console - with windscreen / locker etc.
  • sponsons
  • fish hauling arms & winches
  • cattle crates
  • hand rails
  • canopy frame / cover
  • tapered bow
  • anchor well
  • bollards - forward / towing / heavy duty
  • bow loading ramp - slide off/on
  • bow door
  • hydraulic crane
  • landing barge configuration
  • cat hulls
  • performance hull
  • raised bow
  • glass bottom viewing panels
  • full cabins
  • swim platforms
  • under bow doubler / grounding plate
  • self draining deck
  • live bait tank
  • cutting board
  • painted
  • signwritten
  • customised
  • dual outboard configuration
